British promoters defend Gaga

According to BBC News, Monster Ball tour promoters in England are speaking out. They are reaching out to fans and defending ticket price increases.

The internationally successful Poker Face singer recently announced details about May and June concert dates in England and added new shows.

Prices for the singer's tour which kicked off in Manchester last month were initially between $41 and $56 US. Tickets for three newly announced dates cost between $76 and $114 US.

Some fans have visited the singer's website, ladygaga.com, to express their outrage about how ticket prices have doubled.

Chairman of global touring at Live Nation, Art Fogel, defends the ticket price. He says, "What was a small arena/theatre production is now a massive, first rate arena production. Ticket prices for the previous dates were set long before the current Monster Ball show was developed. Ticket prices are comparable and fair."
