If you were planning on using the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge this weekend, you might want to plan ahead…

The lane heading to Montreal will be closed from Friday night until Sunday morning. Meanwhile, the two lanes leading to Vaudreuil-Dorion will remain open.

The Ministry of Transport stated that the closure was necessary to conduct repairs on a damaged section of the bridge.

The closure will start 11pm on Friday until 5am on Sunday between exit 35 and the entrance from Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants.

The ministry declared the suspension of tolls on Highway 30 eastbound to provide commuters with an alternative route to Montreal.

Detour routes will be marked with temporary signs.
